Judging Contest

Saturday February 8, 2025 Jacobson Center

• We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the 2024 Iowa Beef Expo Livestock Judging Contest.
• New this year we will be offering hog, goats, and sheep classes.
• Offering Junior College Novice and Pro divisions
• Registration will close at midnight on February 3rd.
• Any problems concerning registration, contact Mallory Robinson [email protected] or 660-525-5717.
• Entry fees are $150 College team and $40 per individual or $100 4-H/FFA Teams and $30 per individual.
• There are no refunds of entry fees. (Entries will double after deadline)
• New this year we are offering questions or reason divisions for the 4-H and FFA teams. The students will either answer questions about the classes or they will give oral reasons on the classes.
• Coaches will receive an invoice via Email to pay team entry fees.

CONTEST DETAILS

• Contest attire is judging casual wear. 
• All team member scores will be calculated in the final team score.
• 6 classes of beef cattle
• 2 classes of hogs
• 1 class of goats
• 1 class of sheep
• No keep cull classes.
• One scenario class which the data will be provided.
• 4-H and FFA have the option to only give reasons or to only take questions. Please make sure to make the form for what your team will be participating in. No age restriction.
